The position
LE SUJET DE STAGE – Deep embarqué et RISC-V
Depuis près de 10 ans, Magellium mène activement des activités de R&D dans le domaine de l’intelligence artificielle appliquée au traitement des images. Forts de cette expertise et d’une offre désormais bien étoffée nos équipes portent les algorithmes développés sur de nouvelles architectures matérielles pour le domaine spatial.
Dans ce contexte, et sous la supervision de la direction technique de l’unité, vous aurez pour mission de développer ou d’adapter des algorithmes sur processeur RISC-V, ainsi que de porter des modèles d’intelligence artificielle sur des unités de traitement dédiées au Deep Learning (Deep Learning Processing Unit – DPU) de Xilinx ou Hailo AI. Les processeurs RISC-V et les DPU sont aujourd’hui de plus en plus envisagés dans le domaine spatial, en raison de leur modularité, de leur efficacité énergétique et de leur capacité à traiter des charges algorithmiques complexes de manière embarquée.
Afin de mieux comprendre les possibilités et les limites de ces technologies, vous réaliserez un état de l’art des différentes technologies pour connaître leur maturité, avantages/inconvénients et les performances attendues par rapport aux architectures classiques (ARM).
Ensuite vous réaliserez des tests de performance sur différents cas d’usage. Plusieurs algorithmes et modèles d’IA vous seront proposés pour cette évaluation. Le travail aboutira à la rédaction d’une documentation technique destinée à orienter les choix de conception de nos ingénieurs dans le développement d’algorithmes embarqués.
Les applications étudiées s’inscrivent pleinement dans nos domaines de prédilection, à savoir la robotique et le traitement d’images issues de capteurs aéroportés ou satellitaires.

Etudiant(e) en cursus universitaire ou en Ecole d’ingénieurs préparant un diplôme de niveau Bac+5, ou un Mastère spécialisé, vous avez idéalement suivi un cursus spécialisé en mathématiques appliquées avec des enseignements en intelligence artificielle.
Vous aimez évoluer dans l’environnement exigent des nouvelles technologies et aimez comprendre en détail les outils complexes que vous manipulez.

Do you hire trainees?
Yes, we hire end-of-study internships. These internships can then develop into permanent contracts (50% of internships transformed into permanent contracts by 2023).
Do you take on work-study students?
We can take on work-study students subject to availability of places and the company/school rhythm, as some projects are not always compatible with a work-study rhythm.
What is the recruitment process at Magellium Artal Group?

How long is the trial period for an engineer?
The trial period is 4 months. This period may be renewed in certain situations, but not systematically.
Will I be provided with a work computer?
Yes, when you arrive you'll be provided with a workstation complete with monitor, PC, keyboard and mouse. Office supplies will also be at your disposal.
Is remote work possible?
Our company agreement provides for the possibility of remote work up to 2 days a week. Remote working is possible as soon as the trial period has been validated and provided the project allows it (for example, this is not the case for defense projects for reasons of confidentiality).
