Magellium Artal Group, with its 300 employees, is an independent player specializing in the remote sensing data value chain (from satellite or drone sensors to their use in Earth observation systems and services, mapping, and geo-intelligence), which promotes expertise in space technologies, software, image and signal processing, and geomatics.
As part of its Earth observation activities, Magellium is involved in major programs led by space agencies and operational agencies. These Earth observation projects implementscientific processing chains for payloads on board satellites.
These processing chains, whether prototypes or operational, are developed with a viewto integration into the ground segments of satellite missions. The specificity of these processes lies in the combined mastery of scientific or algorithmic remote sensing techniques and the methodological, organizational, and IT engineering of processing chains in an environment often constrained by robustness and performance requirements.
As part of the launch of a new project, the Ground Segment team is looking for a senior project manager to take charge of an image ground segment project for Earth observation.
The position
As Ground Segment Project Manager, you are responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating all activities related to the design, development, validation, and delivery of an imaging ground segment for Earth observation missions.
You are the primary contact for the end customer and are responsible for ensuring that Magellium's commitments to this project are met. You are also responsible for the financial results of your project.
Your main duties and responsibilities are:
- Manage all phases of the project: defining requirements, planning, execution, monitoring costs, risks, and deadlines.
- Ensure coordination between the various internal teams and industrial partners.
- Manage customer relations and represent Magellium in the context of your project.
- Ensure that the project complies with technical, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to responses to calls for tenders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project processes and the sharing of best practices.

Profile required
With a background in engineering, you have proven experience inmanaging complex projects, ideally in the space or defense sector and in an international context. You are passionate about thespace industryand ideally have experience in the field of space ground segments.
Technical skills/hard skills
- Proficiency inproject management processes, tools, and methods(planning, reporting, risk management, budget monitoring).
- Experience or strong interest in participating incalls for tendersin an industrial or institutional context.
- You arevery comfortable with English, both written and spoken.
Soft skills
- Excellentcommunication and coordination skillswith multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent interpersonal skills,teamworkskills,ability to interact withend customers.
- Independence, sense of responsibility.

The trial period is 4 months. This period may be renewed in certain situations, but not systematically.

Yes, when you arrive you'll be provided with a workstation complete with monitor, PC, keyboard and mouse. Office supplies will also be at your disposal.
Is remote work possible?
Our company agreement provides for the possibility of remote work up to 2 days a week. Remote working is possible as soon as the trial period has been validated and provided the project allows it (for example, this is not the case for defense projects for reasons of confidentiality).
