Space

The France 2030 MS-HR project aims to provide the French government with unprecedented Earth observation capabilities through a constellation of 10 satellites equipped with multiple payloads.
As part of its space robotics activities, Magellium Artal Group is continuing its work on vision-based absolute localization for planetary exploration missions with the launch of the ALMER-S R&D project (Absolute Localization for Moon Exploration Rover – Semantic).
The ESL Council (Expert Support Laboratory), the formal body responsible for monitoring the performance of the FLEX mission, met at Magellium Artal Group in early March.
Our team of research engineers contributed to two scientific articles in the Copernicus Marine Service's 8th State of the Ocean report, providing expertise in altimetry and gravimetry.
The DIANE project will provide a response to the proliferation of satellites and space debris in low-Earth orbit. Magellium Artal Group, in partnership with Thales Alenia Space, has been selected as part of the France 2030 plan for this project.
FLEX, ESA's hyperspectral mission, is designed to provide global maps of vegetation fluorescence. After leading the consortium in the prototyping phase, Magellium Artal Group has been selected to lead the consortium in the development phase.
Created under the impetus of Magellium, CS Group and vorteX-io, the consortium launches HydroVenture, the first operational space hydrology center for global water monitoring and management (supporting the France 2030 plan, the European Destination Earth program and contributing to the UN's water resource monitoring and early warning services).
Philippe Baptiste, President of CNES, visited the Magellium site in Toulouse on June 1, 2022. Accompanied by François Sillon (Technical Director of CNES) and Philippe Kubik (Deputy Technical and Instruments Director at CNES), Philippe Baptiste was welcomed by Pierre Duverneuil (President of the Magellium Artal Group). The visit provided an opportunity to showcase the company’s space-related activities and discuss the future of the space sector.
The Earth Observation Unit at Magellium Artal Group is honored to have participated in ESA’s 2022 Living Planet Symposium.
